The Core 300S Pro is LEVOIT's smart version of its best-selling compact purifier: a three-stage filter, a laser dust sensor that drives an auto mode, and app control through VeSync. To see what owners make of it after a few months in a real room, we read what the latest hundred Amazon.ae reviewers wrote — every one of them a UAE buyer. The video version runs half a minute; the rest is below.

Worth setting expectations first. Amazon shows 4.5 stars from 18,107 ratings worldwide, but the 100 written UAE reviews average closer to 4.0, with 14 of them at one star. That is the usual pattern — people who write tend to have a reason — so read the themes below as what can go wrong, not as the typical outcome.

The good

The main promise lands. Twenty-five reviewers say the air in the room is noticeably fresher, dust settles less, or cooking and pet smells clear faster than before. Nine go further and report a difference they can feel, with less sneezing or easier breathing, several of them buying it specifically for allergies.

Eleven are won over by the smart side: turning it on from the office, letting auto mode follow the sensor, or running it through Alexa. Another eleven like how little room it takes up, and eleven more call it simple to set up and fair for the money. Eight sleep beside it without being bothered. Three had a failed unit replaced by LEVOIT under warranty and said the process was painless.

The bad

Noise splits the room. Eight find it louder than they expected, and one of those still gave it five stars — it depends heavily on which speed you run. Six report the opposite of the good news above: no change they can detect, including one owner of five cats who noticed nothing at all.

The sensor draws its own complaints. Four say the air-quality reading looks wrong or cannot be trusted, which matters because auto mode depends on it. Four more never got the app or Wi-Fi to pair, and without that the smart features are simply absent. A couple grumble that the filter cannot be washed and has to be bought again.

The ugly

Ten of the hundred describe a unit that stopped working. The timings they give are scattered and early: dead on arrival, under a month, around six weeks of night-time use only, a few months, and two that failed at six and ten months and were replaced under warranty.

The sensor fails separately and more often than you would like — five describe the air-quality indicator dying or sticking on one colour, sometimes within the first few weeks, which leaves auto mode useless even while the fan still runs. Four more report a squeak or creak developing in the fan, in one case on two units bought together that both started just after the warranty ended. Three received the wrong thing entirely: a used unit, one in an unrelated box that would not power on, and one buyer who was sent only the filter.

One reviewer also disputes the HEPA wording on the listing, and that is not a lone opinion — LEVOIT's parent company did voluntarily drop certain HEPA claims in the US after a challenge from Dyson.

The conclusion

For most buyers this does what it says, and the people who like it tend to really like it. The risk is not performance, it is longevity: if yours is going to fail, the reviews suggest it will do so early. Run it hard in the first weeks, check the sensor actually responds when you disturb the air near it, and keep the box until you are sure.
